“You just need to be...”
“There is a place for women in America...” said Lindsey Graham”
Sen. Lindsey Graham (Twitter @LindseyGrahamSC) said that “Black folks can do anything in SC… as long as they're conservative.” He also says, “Young women can have a place in America if they're pro-life and come from "traditional families." On the heels of a total abortion ban in Poland, and the death of George Floyd at the hands of authorities as a flash-point putting racism in America glaringly in the spotlight, this type of excising rhetoric spewed by an elected official, is an old fashioned stomping of personal rights and freedoms. We still have the right to be open minded and flexible if we want to.
Women of America and everywhere in the World, do not need nor want any man deeming their “place,” anywhere. Neither does any other marginalized population. The soon to be ex-Senator is driving the narrative of the still, but barely fictional “Handmaid's Tale.” This “Gilead” type of need for control, to the point of radically ignoring emotional and physical personal boundaries, is indicative of mental illness.
When people in positions of power or authority are disrespectful of those boundaries, how do we protect ourselves? These manipulative, narcissistic bullies need boundaries reinforced clearly and consistently. Collectively, as women, and with every singled out minority and their allies, must disengage from these bullies. That means we do not need to communicate with or contact them. We don't stalk their social media - even to gossip about them. That gives them power. We may even need to delete or block some of them. Keep forced interactions short and infrequent as possible. Remember to take a few deep cleansing breaths,
****And Do NOT under ANY circumstances, VOTE for them!!!!****
